Hello! I am Linda F. Whalon, an artist with Surrealizations Art.
I created this unique style that I call Abstract Realism.
The bold bright colors that I choose are selected intuitively for each individual pet.
A black ink "nuerographic" background completes this one of a kind portrait.
I create art in my studios in Oklahoma and New Mexico.
My medium is acrylic and ink on water color paper, sealed for protection.
When ready to deliver, the artwork is matted with a black mat,
placed in a cellophane protective envelope and shipped directly to you,
ready to be placed in a 11” by 14” frame.

After getting a puppy for my 32nd birthday I learned that I am allergic to most furry pets!
I love animals but I can only show my affection for them through my art.
I place a pink heart on each face as my way to express my love...without sneezing!
I have only had one puppy, a beautiful Collie named King, and yes I was allergic to him
during the 11 years of his sweet life.
It is in King's honor that I offer to paint Memorial Portraits for Free
To show that the portrait is a Memorial, I paint a teardrop inside the pink heart i place
on every face.

All I ask is that once you receive the portrait you consider making an "appreciation donation" to help cover the cost of materials and shipping so that I can continue to provide this service!
Donations are not required nor are they expected...just appreciated.
I paint these as a service to others who have or are suffering the loss of a beloved pet.
Generous donations will allow me to provide funds to other organizations that serve the well-being and protection of animals.
In 2022 I was able to make a generous donation to the Madill Animal Shelter and to the Kingston Dog Pound in Oklahoma - towards much needed food and bedding.
2023 donations have allowed me to buy supplies allowing for Memorial Portraits to continue for free in 2024! Thank you.

I’ve painted dogs, cats, donkeys, horses, deer, birds and even a bearded dragon. If you have a pet, I can paint it!
All I need to get started on a portrait is a good head shot photograph of the pet and I can take it from there.
